Philadelphians have been mourning the loss of Orpheus the Musician, the Philadelpian’s legendary conductor and conductor of the Philadelphia Orchestra.

He died Saturday at age 81.

The Orpheus was the subject of countless stories and rumors, including the idea that he played a piano and that his voice was an instrument, and even a ghost.

He is most well known for his music and his legendary role on the Philadephia Symphony Orchestra, which he led until his death.
